About the Study
Led by renowned NHS Consultant Oncologist Professor Robert Thomas, the clinical trial was conducted across Addenbrooke’s and Bedford hospitals (Cambridge University Hospitals) and involved 212 men with early-stage, progressive prostate cancer.
Participants took daily capsules over 16 weeks of Phytochemical Rich Supplement (PRS), Placebo or Probiotoc Blend:

- Green tea

- Broccoli

Key Findings
This landmark trial showed that a specific blend of phytochemicals significantly slowed PSA progression and improved urinary and erectile function in men with early-stage prostate cancer. It is also the world’s first double-blind RCT to show that targeting gut health can further reduce PSA progression. These findings support evidence-based dietary choices and will be especially valuable for men on active surveillance.

MRI scans further confirmed the stabilisation or shrinkage of disease in most participants.
