The word ‘unprecedented’ seems to have been the word of the year, we’ve heard it on news reports, repeated it to our colleagues and yes, we really have been in the midst of unprecedented times.

However, what I’d like to highlight to you in this Christmas message, is that within unprecedented times we should also stop and take the time to look at the positives around us. Yes, they may have been in short supply over the last two years but here at Redrose we’ve been incredibly grateful and lucky to have been able to continue manufacturing as an key supplier throughout the pandemic and working with our fantastic customers, colleagues and friends, who I would like to show my appreciation to throughout this year’s Christmas message.

Firstly, I have to thank our fantastic team at Redrose and the extended consultants we work with. If you’d told me at the beginning of the year that we’d be achieving an ISO 22000 Certificate in the midst of the pandemic, I don’t think I would have believed you. But what I have seen from the ultimate dedication and hardwork from every single member of staff is nothing short of remarkable. We’ll actually be going into the New Year with not one, but two ISO 22000 certificates and accreditations under our belts and we have already started working towards our next award which will be a GMP certification.

We’ve also broken numerous records within our production lines this year, turning over record numbers of tablets and capsules for our customers worldwide. That in itself is down to the excellent work of our production team who are always looking to work quicker, smarter and harder. This year we’ve implemented lots of new ideas and innovative processes and thanks to the real teamwork displayed in production we’ve managed to keep to our industry-renowned lead times, despite having an increase in demand for our products.

Our people are the backbone of the business, they are what keeps our factory thriving and we hope they all know and appreciate that as much as we do.

Secondly, we’d like to thank our suppliers. From those who have helped us to maintain our stocks of high quality raw materials, to those who help guide us through the ever-changing business economy. You all know who you are and you help to push Redrose to go further and further each year.

Last but not at all least, a huge thank you has to go to our innovative customers, who have all been breaking records themselves this year and growing their businesses all across the world. We want to thank you for not just being customers of ours but for being part of our team and growing your businesses alongside ours. It has been a real pleasure to work with customers both old and new this year and we can’t wait to see what 2022 holds for us all.

Also, worth mentioning this year are our awards achievements, we were finalists in both the Manufacturing category and the Company of the Year category at the competitive North East Business Awards. We were honoured to be mentioned throughout the ceremony as an example to the business community within the region which we are so proud to be a part of.

On top of this, we’ve already got a number of exciting dates in the diary next year. We’ll be heading to the White Label World Expo series, working towards our next certifications and also giving back as much of our good fortune as possible, something that’s very important to us all here at Redrose.

Unprecedented times can result in unprecedented positives and whilst we’ve been very fortunate over the last year, I’d like to encourage you to look at your own businesses and congratulate yourselves on what you’ve achieved as we come to the turn of the year.

Finally, of course, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year for you all.

Take care and stay safe,

David Goodings
