As 2023 appears on the horizon, a look back over the last year at Redrose sees many accomplishments. I would like to first start this message as always thanking our amazing team and extended consultants that we work with. Without our dedicated staff, we would not have been able to make this year our very best year yet.
The year started off with our trip to the White Label Expo. This opportunity saw our team head to London to spend two days at London’s ExCel Centre. The Expo was filled with many incredible businesses and speakers and while there, we made over 100 new contacts as well as meeting so many valuable new connections. The event was a major kickstart to the year and we look forward to returning in early 2023.
Following the White Label Expo, we wanted to further ensure we were equipped to meet the growing demands of our nutraceutical products, so the natural next step for us was to expand and further build upon our capacity. This year, we have invested over £500k in hi-tech machinery that will meet these growing demands. Worked by our talented production team, the new machinery has allowed us to continue offering one of the fastest turnaround times in the nutraceutical sector while driving forward our industry-leading USPs.
In addition to these investments, we have also added a number of accreditations to our ever growing list. Thanks to the tireless work of our quality assurance team, we have achieved our Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification acquired through S.G.S., our Kosher and Halal certificates and have also been re-audited by Lloyds Register for our ISO 22000 (Food Safety) accreditation.
As we continued fulfilling our global orders, we moved into business award season and were delighted when Redrose was announced as a finalist in the Small Business Award category at the North East Business Awards. In addition to this, after being announced a finalist in the Small Business of the Year Award at the North East of England Chamber of Commerce Awards, we were fortunate enough to win the category having a fantastic evening celebrating with other prominent and notable businesses from across our region.
As we progress into 2023, we have many things to look forward to. From the next White Label Expo and the launch of our New Product Development (NPD) laboratory to many new internal investments across our factory, we know it will be another year of success and growth. We want to continue to grow our portfolio of customers whilst not forgetting the loyal and long standing customers who have helped us to be as successful as we have been and get us to where we are today. Regrettably I am almost certain that there will be lots of hurdles and difficulties to overcome in 2023 as the economic world, and world in general, seems to be somewhat unstable, volatile and difficult at the present time and probably in the foreseeable future. That said, Redrose will continue to do everything possible to support and assist our customers through these difficult times and I am certain that things will eventually improve and get back to some kind of normality.
To close, I couldn’t finish off this Christmas message without the most important thank you to all of you. To all of our customers new and old, we cannot express our gratitude enough for choosing us to be your manufacturing partner and we look forward to serving you all in the New Year.
We cannot wait to continue our growth journey together and wish you and all of your teams every success as we close the business year and head into another, hopefully prosperous, more stable and mutually beneficial.
To our team, customers, friends and acquaintances, I’d like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year on behalf of myself and everyone at Redrose.
Thank you again and sending all of our best wishes to you and your families,
David Goodings
Managing Director
